About WorldSkills Philippines

WorldSkills Philippines (WSPH) was established in 2017 when the country rejoined the WorldSkills International Competition. The WSPH section is under the auspices of the Office of the Deputy Director General for TESD Operations of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The primary function of WSPH is to facilitate local skills competition in the country and its participation in the international skills competition as stated in Section 30 of Republic Act 7796 or the TESDA Act of 1994. It also performs Secretariat duties to the National Technical Committee (NTC) who is the operational and advisory body for the national and international skills competition. WSPH brings together young people, education, industry and institutions to promote technical education and skills development in the Philippines.

About 2024 Philippine National Skills Competition
The PNSC is a competition that serves as a venue to recognize the skills excellence of young industry-skilled workers and graduates of technical-vocational schools and training centers. The PNSC hopes to develop competitive Filipino workers who possess world-class skills and work values and attitudes.
The competition culminates in a series of local, provincial, sectoral, and regional contests held nationwide. Winners of the regional contest vie for gold in the PNSC. Winners in the PNSC undergo further training to prepare them for international skills competitions like the ASEAN Skills Competition and the WorldSkills Competition.
The 2024 Philippine National Skills Competition is set to be held on August 21-25, 2024 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City. More than 250 of the most talented Filipino youths will compete in 25 skill areas. The event will also feature exhibits, demo skills, and interactive activities to promote skills and one’s forte for their career.
The Gold and Silver medal winners of the 2024 PNSC will have a chance to compete in the upcoming WorldSkills ASEAN Philippines 2025.
